Shelly Talan draws her influence from organic design with the philosophy that “less is more.” While each room will be strikingly beautiful, it will reflect the client’s lifestyle, taste and personality. Always on the cutting edge of design, her projects have a combination of rich colors and varied materials.

After attending New York school of interior design, she started her own design firm in 1983. She is an Allied member of ASID and the Allied Board of Trade. Her work has been published in several design magazines.

While working in both residential and commercial design, she is comfortable in all styles of interior design including modern, traditional, eclectic and classic contemporary. She has been involved in all aspects of renovations, including kitchens and bathrooms.

Shelly’s goal is to be concerned with the aesthetics of a project, while always being mindful of her client’s budget. Her sources for furniture, fabrics and accessories come from all parts of the city, including working with new and exciting furniture designers and artists.
