The Design and Arts College of New Zealand (D&A) bring around 400 students from all over the world together with 40 professionals to create a community of people passionate about design and arts.

Following State Recognised Programmes. The Marbella Design Academy was founded in 1995 and has become the ideal place to gain an outstanding education in design. With fourteen years of experience, the Academy has developed into a modern, highly rated, state recognised design institution.

The Academy is situated in a beautiful new building, designed by the Director herself, and has every facility imaginable. The Ministry of Education, Junta de Andalucia, has approved the building and it complies with all the demands of a new and modern design academy.

High Academic Level. The Marbella Design Academy offers tuition to a high academic standard which is constantly updated according to the latest market demands of a professional design education.
In the first year, for example, you will be introduced to professional software applications that are vital to becoming a successful designer.
You can enroll twice a year : 7th January and 15th September
Graduate students achieve an employment rate of nearly one hundred per cent, which is a clear indication of the quality of the education they receive.
The Academy has an academic level that competes with some of the best design educations in the world.
International Design Academy.
All the classes at the Academy are held in English and the students come from all over the world to study at the Marbella Design Academy.
It is a great inspiration to study with others from different cultural backgrounds. The students work together on design projects in an international cross-cultural atmosphere.
South Spain. The Marbella Design Academy is situated in Monda, a charming, typically Spanish village in the mountains 15 km from Marbella, the lively, picturesque and cosmopolitan town, well-known for its jet-set lifestyle, nightlife and beautiful beaches.
Entry Requirements. The minimum age for entry is 17 years but the students at the Academy currently range between 17 and 40 years of age with the average age being 23 years.
Entrance requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) but in exceptional circumstances students will be considered due to outstanding artistic talent.
Accommodation. Most students live in rented accommodation in the village of Monda, being a short walk to the Academy.
In Monda there is a range of furnished properties for rent, from studios at around 200Euros a month to 3 bedroom apartments at 500Euros a month. The Academy recommends that students live in Monda.
Grants. As the Academy is state recognised most students will be able to obtain grants from their home countries in order to study at the Academy.
