Take a test called "Strong Interest Inventory" (exactly that title). This will give you some idea about careers that might suit you. My guess is you should not attend college, but instead get a marketable skill though community college, such as a diploma in Pastry Arts. Some states have formal apprenticeships in Food Preparation.

There is government money out there that can get you thru school and housing and you make payments after you graduate if your parents aren’t able you help at all. Look for grant money and fill out the FAFSA. I agree with the previous post of culinary school. Starting your own business takes a lot of money and know how up front. I would maybe work part time on the weekends in a bakery to test out the baking part while going to school …. and maybe you could go into design also. Sounds like you’ll be a great artist at whatever you choose.

It sounds like the best choice for you is to either do cake decorating (which doesn’t require formal education, just demonstratable skills–either self-employed, or working for a store), work in or open a baker, or you could go to a culinary school and study patisserie (not specifically cakes, but pastries and sweets.)

If you intend to open your own business, studying Business, even just in community college, will give you valuable skills.

First of all, no one really knows what they want to do when they first step into college.

Sure, some kids have some idea based on the classes they took in high school, but there are many others that change majors, transfer colleges, etc.

Graduation party, senior stuff, car, etc. are all superfluous and not necessary.

Right now, money-wise, you should focus mainly on paying for your tuition.

Personally, baking is a more stable choice than singing. It’s not easy to become famous. Sign up at the nearest culinary school or at a near community college to get your basic college core classes done.

You just need to do more searching than others. If culinary school turns out to be a flop, then think about something else. Don’t let yourself stand in one place wasting time, just because you’re hesitant/ unsure.
